ft987d /atu set up

Hi everyone, iv’e just set up my radio shack but as a newbie I have no practical experience as such and was wondering if anyone could be so kind as to help me out with setting up my yaesu ft987d to work with my mAT-30 automatic antenna tuner I’ve got it all connected but am struggling to get the green online light to come on so its atm in bypass mode I believe, the problem is I’m not sure how to set up the ft987d menu system correctly to use this atu although I do believe this unit was designed to work with the 987, and was hoping someone who has experience with this model could help me please!

page 43 of the manual (available here online file:///C:/Users/peter/Downloads/FT-897D_OM_ENG_EH012M105.pdf ) gives the menu settings and cabling for it

Thanks for the info it was really straight forward in the end they are a good transceiver just a shame you cant buy the battery packs anymore!
