After perhaps a 25 year lay off slowly making preparations to get back on the air.
My old Drake TR4 still resides in the study but apart from an odd dusting and replacing the PSU HV paper capacitors it had never been used in anger for a good many years now.So having found recently a radio shop just 5 miles down the road a new second-hand HF transceiver has now been purchased which took my fancy when shopping for a VHF discone antenna. Usual problem you go out for a sandwich and come back with a new kitchen. Anyway you cant take your money with you when you die so may as well get some use from it.
Anyway the reason I post is that I now need to get rid of my old drake but have no idea of its value or indeed if people still want valve transceivers these days.
